Clintonville-Beechwold Community Resources Center seeks sponsors, runners for EAS 2013 RING AROUNTHE ROSES 5K Walk-Run

The Clintonville-Beechwold Community Resources Center is seeking community support to make this year’s EA

S Ring Around the Roses more successful than ever.

The 5K Walk-Run has become a Memorial Day tradition in Clintonville, with hundreds of runners and other participants beginning their holiday with a fun event at Whetstone’s Park of Roses and nearby Whetstone High School stadium.

The sixth annual EAS Ring Around the Roses will be the morning of Monday, May 27, beginning before 9 a.m. at the school, 4405 Scenic Drive in the Clintonville area of north Columbus.

This year’s event is a great opportunity to contribute to the CRC in a way that increases a business’ profile as a community leader. The CRC is looking for sponsors at the $1,000, $500, $250 and $100 levels. Sponsor fees are due by April 12 in order to get recognition on race T-shirts and runner registration forms. Send an email to info@clintonvillecrc.org or call 268-3539 to sign up.

Depending upon the level of sponsorship, a business or agency can receive a logo and name recognition on T-shirts and all pre- and post-race information, free race registrations and the opportunity to set up a booth during the event to promote the business.

This spring’s event will take place the morning of May 27. To register to participate in the race, though event organizer Columbus Running Company, click here. Registration for runners and walkers already is open (the earlier you sign up, the better the price break!), and can be accomplished by visiting the website: https://www.signmeup.com/site/online-event-registration/91462.

Price breaks are available to runners and walkers signing up before May 1 and also before the race.

Participants in the Kids Fun Run, which will start at 8:30 a.m. that day, can run for free although registration is encouraged.

CRC is a Settlement House that serves the needs of the Clintonville-Beechwold neighborhood by helping people get what they need to live safer, healthier lives.
