
Sign up for the EAS Run For the Roses on memorial Day at the Park of Roses.
Runners and walkers from around Columbus are invited to participate in the fifth annual Clintonville-Beechwold Community Resources Center (CRC), EAS Ring Around the Roses 5K Walk and Run on Memorial Day, May 28.
The course begins and ends at Whetstone High School stadium and winds its way through Clintonville’s beautiful Whetstone Park and will give runners and walkers a view of Whetstone’s oak trees, roses, meadows and forests. Participants will be able to enjoy nature, get in a good run, and spend some time at the park while helping your friends and neighbors who are helped by the CRC.
The run begins at 9:00. Packet pick up and registration begins at 7:30. There is also a Kids Fun Run beginning at 8:30. Kids can run in an age group of under 6 or ages 7 – 10 in either the 100 or 200 dash. All kid racers will receive a race ribbon. No entry free is required for the Kids Fun Run.
Over forty community organizations and merchants are sponsoring the 5K event, showing continued neighborhood support for Clintonville-Beechwold Community Resources Center as it celebrates the 40anniversary this year. Executive Director, Bill Owens is excited that this event has gained such strong support from sponsors, runners, and the community in general in only five years “This has become a Clintonville tradition, and is a great way to support the CRC, connect with the community, and get some good exercise.”

- Entry Fee: $30 pre-registered; $40 day of race
