CRC Kids Club

“Thanks to everyone that helps make the Kids Club possible!”  In addition to providing a safe and nurturing place for kids to go when their parents are away at work, here’s a story about the difference it makes in a child’s life.

While completing the pre-test Curriculum Based Measurement Reading Assessment, a first grade youth really struggled to read the provided passage. When the reading specialist checked in with his mother we learned that he had severe difficulty reading but that his school would not be able to provide reading support to him for another year and he was in danger of not being able to move on to the second grade.

Our Reading Specialist contacted the student’s teacher to see how she can help get him through school. This student has begun working with our reading specialist twice a week and while he still struggles, is receiving the help he needs to succeed in school.

Without the help of the CRC Kids Club After school Program, he would not have been able to receive this help.

The CRC’s Kids Club is the best after school program in Clintonville.
