Quilt sale will benefit CRC’s Kinship Care Program

The sale of this gorgeous handmade quilt, on display in the lobby of the CRC’s lobby at 3222 N. High St., will give the Kinship Care program a boost.

This countywide program supports and provides resources for Kinship families — in most cases those in which someone is raising relative children. Often these situations involve grandparents raising grandchildren because the parents are not in the picture, although there are many other variations.

The Clintonville-Beechwold Community Resources Center’s Kinship Care program, through the generosity of the community, supports these families with access to resources — including furniture, clothing, diapers, food and more — as well as connecting them with other agencies which can support them long term.

This cost-effective service provides a great deal of positive impact for a low cost, but funding challenges mean the agency continues to seek new ways to support the program and underwrite the necessary resources. This quilt, for $35, is the latest handmade item that volunteers and program supporters have created in order to supplement the purchase of diapers and other items.
