‘Great Kitty Litter’ campaign begins

A local resident and her two furry felines, Peanut and Little Miss, know the importance of good quality kitty litter.

They also know that items such as kitty litter — along with many other non-food products — cannot be purchased using federal food assistance dollars such as the program known as SNAP.

So to help out families who may be struggling to put food on the table, but also want to keep their beloved family pet, the crew is offering a special matching program for the next two months.

For every pound of scoopable cat litter that is donated to the Clintonville-Beechwold Community Resources Center’s Choice Food Pantry, the cats’ owner will supply a matching pound. They will match up to 300 pounds worth of this specific type of litter.
