Holiday gala at Mozart’s brings festive spirit to community

The 10th annual Holiday Gala to benefit the Clintonville-Beechwold Community Resources Center, hosted by Mozart’s and Friends, raised more than $27,000 for the agency’s work Thursday, Dec. 8.

The event was held at Mozart’s, 4784 N. High St., from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.

As in past years, the cropped-artworkfood and beverages for the party were provided by 15 or so local restaurants and businesses who support the CRC’s mission to feed hungry neighbors, provide afterschool programming for children, care for local seniors and Kinship families and much more.

Restaurants which served up their wonderful treats were: Mozart’s, Acre, Barley’s Brewing Co., Colonial Candy Shoppe, Crimson Cup, Double Comfort, Fusian, Iron Grill, Lavash Café, Lineage Brewing, pattycake bakery, Pocket Produce, The Crest, Whole World Natural Restaurant and McCarthy’s Wildflower Café.

The CRC received lots of great feedback concerning the event, including this note from a volunteer that evening: “It was a really good event last night – nicely organized, people were happy to be there and the silent auction items were very good.  Kudos to all!”

Live music and a Silent Auction of diverse items were part of the entertainment, with a diverse group of items including a football autographed by NFL quarterbacking great Peyton Manning, tickets to OSU basketball and Blue Jackets’ games and much more.
