Clintonville celebrated its 165th birthday on Thursday, Sept. 13, and CRC staff thought Kids Club members would love to be part of the celebration.
So Brenda Kauser, youth services coordinator for the CRC and Kids Club coordinator, brought some donated cakes to the afterschool club and the kids were in a celebratory mood.
Dozens of Clintonville area youth sang “Happy Birthday” to Clintonville, then enjoyed cakes and drinks afterward.
The celebration was part of Experience Clintonville’s push to get the community to “Toast Clintonville” on the anniversary of the founding of its first post office.
