As the nation turns its eyes to the selfless efforts of millions of volunteers during April, the CRC also took time to honor its small army of volunteers who make the agency’s work possible.
The Clintonville-Beechwold Community Resources Center hosted its annual Volunteer Appreciation Dinner on Thursday, April 20, at the Clintonville Woman’s Club, 3951 N. High St.
Food for the celebration was provided by generous community partners such as Charleys Philly Steaks, Pocket Produce, Acre, pattycake bakery, Local Cantina and Mama Mimi’s as well as a treat from Sonic.
The CRC and the people it serves benefit from hundreds of volunteers, who dedicate their time and energy toward making the community a better place. Their efforts range from driving a senior to her medical appointment, to weeding gardens, packing bags of produce for families, painting and lots more.
The evening included a visit by Columbus City Councilman Michael Stinziano, who presented the CRC and its volunteers with a special resolution from City Council.
