Thanks to Nichole and the gang at Lineage Brewing, a whole lot of presidents — and diapers — were raised for the CRC during a Presidents Day party at the neighborhood brewery.
Lineage, 2971 N. High St., hosted a special fundraiser Feb. 20.
More than $2,650 was raised, along with 1,700+ diapers and boxes of baby wipes which were donated. For each donation, a contributor was given a raffle ticket to have a chance to win one of several amazing themed baskets.
Funds also were generated through a 50-50 raffle — in which the winner turned his winnings back over to the CRC — and all of the tips from the evening were donated to the CRC. Even Lineage owners Mike & Jessica Byrne were pouring beers and generating tips.
Live entertainment was provided by members of the Cordial Sins.
Donations for the auction came in from many directions, with the following businesses listed on the event’s Facebook page: Lineage Brewing, Seventh Son Brewing, Land-Grant Brewing Co., Sideswipe
BrewingPlatform Beer Co – Columbus, Warped Wing Brewing Co., North High Brewing, Wolf’s Ridge Brewing, The Actual Brewing Co., Open Sky Day Spa, Ohio Roller Derby, Tabletop Game Café, Harvest Clintonville, Paradise Garage, Studio 35 Cinema & Drafthouse, The Cordial Sins, Barley’s Brewing Co., Life Support, Evolved Body Art, Columbus Blue Jackets and Maureen Douglas.
Stay tuned for more information on another upcoming fundraiser that, while not directly being held at Lineage, will take place under the big tent in front of the business on Friday, March 17.
That event is set for 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. and will bring live music, food samples from some neighborhood restaurants and lots of Irish fun — all for a small cover charge that will benefit CRC programs. More information will be posted soon on the CRC’s website and Facebook page.
